Action Alert! Planning for the Future of I-5
Lidding I-5 is definitely in Seattle’s future – we know it’s a matter of timing and public support. We also need to think long term about the I-5 freeway itself.
The Washington Legislature is now debating funds for an Interstate 5 scenario planning project throughout the Puget Sound and our local neighborhoods.
But funding is only listed in the Senate budget, not the House version. Please take a moment and help us move the vision forward. Click here to send a message of support to key legislators today!

Hearing from people like you will push this over the finish line and keep public benefits and environmental considerations at the fore. Thanks for helping us reconnect Seattle!
Feasibility Study is Under Way
On March 26 the Lid Feasibility Study made its public debut. The Seattle Feasibility Study Committee gathered to meet the WSP consultant team and get a briefing on the project’s scope of work and schedule. You can view the meeting presentation slides here (PDF).Three Lid I-5 leaders are on the committee and were impressed at the qualifications of the team and the proposed approach. See part of WSP’s proposal materials here.
We’re beyond excited to see the project come to life after years of advocacy and coalition building. Thanks to all of our partners, neighbors, and elected officials who helped the project reach this point. Stay close to our newsletter and website for future events and chances to be involved in this important project for Seattle’s future.
