This Sunday: Lid I-5 is at the Capitol Hill Farmers Market

The Lid I-5 team is hanging out at the Capitol Hill Farmers Market (corner of Pine Street and Broadway) this Sunday! Come by between 11am and 3pm to say hello and learn more about our work to reunite neighborhoods divided by Interstate 5.

If you have any interest in tabling with us and talking to the general public about the campaign, please reply to this email by Friday at noon. Volunteers may take shifts and help us set up and break down the booth.

Also, a reminder of the important event next week:

WSCC Addition – Public Benefits Open House
Tuesday, December 7, 5:00 – 7:00 PM
Room 2AB, Convention Center, 705 Pike Street
Please RSVP on Facebook and plan to join us.

The Lid I-5 Steering Committee will be there to share our short term goal: securing funding for a robust feasibility study of how to lid I-5. Your attendance will send a strong message to elected officials and help strengthen our cause.

The event will also feature many of our partner organizations working to improve community livability: Freeway Park Association, First Hill Improvement Association, Melrose Promenade, and Capitol Hill Housing.

If you have a Lid I-5 button, please wear that or pick one up at our table! You can also check out our report on the May 2016 design charrette and hear about positive changes we made to Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan.

Thank you for your continued support and your commitment to making Seattle a better city for all. We look forward to seeing you on December 7.
