Support Lid I-5 on November 8
You might not know: Lid I-5 operates with a dedicated volunteer team, and we rely on your generous donations to support our work. Everything from flyer printing and IT equipment to venue rentals and professional consultation need to be sustained for the coming years.
We hope you can join us the evening of November 8 for our annual Happy Hour & Fundraiser! Click here for details to get your tickets today!
By supporting Lid I-5 you can help restore neighborhood connections, build public land, and lessen environmental impacts all at once. We can catch up and build future capacity for affordable housing, public parks, and civic institutions like schools, community centers, and the arts. With central Seattle nearly built out there are few other options. Lidding I-5 is both possible and necessary.
To understand the details, though, we need an expert look. That’s why over the past three years we’ve volunteered, advocated, and negotiated to secure funding for a major feasibility study. Now we’re working with city planners to begin the study in early 2019.
Attend the annual Happy Hour & Fundraiser on November 8 to see how far we’ve come, celebrate the latest achievements, and help chart the future path!
Endorsement by Councilmember Mosqueda
Our elected officials are increasingly recognizing both the opportunity and the grassroots energy around Lid I-5. We’re delighted to announce the recent endorsement by Councilmember Teresa Mosqueda, who represents Seattle at-large. From her website:
Councilmember Mosqueda’s top priority on City Council is promoting healthy communities. She fights every day to build an economy that works for all of us, make sure we can afford to live in the city where we work, and protect the rights of every member of our City. She has dedicated her life to amplifying the voices of our working families.
October 18: Imagine Greater Downtown
